Hispanic Heritage Foundation a Student Research Foundation Partner

As our name indicates, research is the lifeblood of the Student Research Foundation. But as any diligent researcher can tell you, the process of conducting research is facilitated when organizations like ours partner up and share resources with other organizations. When different organizations agree to cooperate, they can share data they already have, conduct new research together and enjoy other benefits. The net result is that the research that results is based on more comprehensive data – and in many ways, the research improves.

Today, we would like to call attention to, and thank, The Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF), an organization that was founded in Washington, DC, in 1987, with the twofold aim of supporting Latino-Americans and building awareness of their many contributions to the United States. Over the years, the HHF has introduced a variety of programs in support of those goals, including the Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards, the Latinos On Fast Track (LOFT) initiative, as well as the Hispanic Heritage Awards.

Another of the HHF’s programs we support is the Hispanic Heritage Foundation’s Investors Group, an initiative that provides educational opportunities for Latino-Americans who will pursue careers as institutional investment professionals. This program has given many Hispanic-Americans the knowledge and skills they need to build careers in finance that contribute to the economic growth of our nation.

HFF also plays an active role in the LOFT U.S. Army STEM Leadership Symposium, a free leadership and workforce-development program that provides career-path guidance, educational opportunities and career support for students and young professionals who are entering STEM fields after serving in the military. HFF also plays a key role in the Code as a Second Language (CSL) initiative, a national program that teaches pre-college students computer coding skills.
