The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) has released its 2019 Cyberstates Guide, based both on its own research and data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The report points to an explosive rate of job creation in STEM and technical fields between now and 2026.

Some Highlights from the Cyberstates Guide

Tech employment in the United States reached an estimated 11,812,147 workers in 2018, representing an increase of 2.3 percent from 2017, or the creation of 260,865 new jobs in just one year.
Tech employment is now the primary driver of new job creation in America.
Software occupations accounted for the creation of approximately 1 in 3 new technology jobs in the 2010-2018 time period.
The average replacement rate for tech occupations during 2018-2026 is projected to reach approximately 7.5 percent annually, or nearly 600,000 workers on average each year, totaling several million through 2026.
